About us

Our Founder's Vision

To establish an Educational Institution, open to all, irrespective of caste, colour, class and creed; where pupils are taught not merely through instructions but also through experience to develop into responsible citizens with appreciation for human values, their own heritage and culture; where they learn through activity, sports, outdoor study, individual investigation and efforts employing imaginative methods; where they are discouraged to retain prejudices and possessions; where they proudly perform social services and experience the dignity of physical labour; where they learn to practise humility in victory and generosity in defeat; where they meet their own targets to do their best and not compete with others, under the guidance of their teachers who mentor them with exemplary compassion and devotion, continually develop themselves professionally and are prepared to lead other institutions.

- Late Lieutenant General (Retired) Ghulam Jilani Khan

Our Aim

The primary aim of the school is to ensure total realization of boy’s potential with emphasis on building character, intellect and physique. The academic and co-curricular is, therefore, planned accordingly. The purpose is to educate and train each boy so that he can contribute fully, his talents, to his community and nation and the world at large. The cornerstone of the school’s philosophy is to teach that the privilege of the strong is to help the weak and of the rich to help the poor.

Our History

Tracing Our Roots
The Chand Bagh Story

Chand Bagh School was established in 1998 by Late Lieutenant General (Retired) Ghulam Jilani Khan, former Governor Punjab to provide quality education to all the cadres of society. The first project of Chand Bagh Foundation, was established by Late Lt Gen Ghulam Jilani Khan on the pattern of his Alma Mater, the Doon School at Dehradun, India. The school opened its doors for students in September 1998. It is fully Residential Public School built over an area of 190 Acres. The picturesque campus presents a well composed canvas of unique architecture and landscape framed by a boundary wall, perfectly in harmony with the vision of the Founding father.

Messages from the Leadership

At Chand Bagh School, our commitment to nurturing young minds extends beyond the classroom. It’s a dedication that comes straight from the heart of our leadership.

The Principal

Chaudry Muhammad Afzal

I assumed the mantle of leadership at Chand Bagh School (CBS) on January 2010, I brought with me previous experience of Vice Principal’s tenure at Tameer-e-Seerat Model Degree college Mansoora, Lahore, Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi, Mansehra House Master, Deputy Head Master and Head Master Chand Bagh School, with two decades of dedicated service in the domain of education.

Established in 1998, Chand Bagh has blossomed over the years and is today the home to six hundred students, lodged in eight custom-built Boarding Houses. The daily schedule beckons the students to a dynamic grooming paradigm. They wake up with the call of the Muezzin and till lights-out; there is a hectic curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular schedule. The culture of the institution has evolved with yeoman services rendered by dedicated leadership over the years.

The Senior Master

Akhtar Hussain

Groomed to serve – this phrase in fact defines the reason of stay of any student at CBS. Our well groomed students are now shining like stars on the horizon of all the distinguished walks of life.

We, at Chand Bagh, groom the students to the zenith of excellence in the three major requisites of a boarding school Sports, Academics and Discipline.

There are numerous co-curricular, Dramatics and Debate clubs in Chand Bagh School, I encourage you to be the part of as many as you can. Further, consider your boarding houses as your homes and exhibit this through your participation and conduct in your respective houses.

Dear students, it’s on you that how well you make yourself shine here and retain the legacy of your predecessors. It’s a prime time for you to prove your mettle.

The Bursar

Lt. Col. (R) Muhammad Zafar ul Haq

The bursar’s office is committed to providing efficient administrative and financial services to the students, staff, parents and families residing on campus. We serve as the main monetary collection points for Chand Bagh Foundation in addition to all sorts of administration support and strive to offer the best possible service consistent with policies and regulations evolved by the head office. We consistently review our practices to work in harmony with the academic departments in an efficient manner.

The teams under our management do their best to keep students and staff happy, secure and engaged to meet the challenges of providing efficient Administrative Services to the school residents which include catering/messing, Medical, Mechanical, Transport etc. Providing administrative support to more than 500 residential Students, about 750 day scholars, more than 350 Faculty and administrations staff members and their families is no doubt a challenging task. We are proud that the various departments work day and night  to come up to the expectations of all concerned.
